As I wrote in a recent article, the main probelm with teacher cover letters is that most of them do nothing special to stand out from the crowd.

Just last week one of my college students took my advice to heart and wrote a cover letter using some of the tips discussed in Jimmy Sweeney’s “Top 10 Secrets of the World’s Greatest Cover Letters”

I was quite impressed. I cannot post the teacher cover letter here as it is too difficult to get the format just right…and it is the format that is so important.
